The Castlemaine Perkins Brewery was established at Milton, just west of Brisbane city, back in 1878. Today, the brewery is a ticket to a rich taste of the science, art and heritage behind this truly great beer.

The XXXX Ale House & Brewery Tours provide an unbeatable way to experience an Australian icon up close and discover its proud legend. A tour of this world-famous brewery gives visitors a chance to experience the XXXX story. Learn the origins of beer and brewing, how to pour a perfect beer, and the colourful 130 year history of the Australian icon.

The tour takes about an hour and a quarter. Stop by for a cold fresh glass of XXXX!


The brewery is located directly across the street from Milton train station.

Wednesdays: 9.00am to 8.00pm
Saturdays: 10.00am to 3.30pm

Ale House Bar
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: 11.30am to 6.30pm
Wednesdays: 11.30am to 9.00pm
