At Sovereign Hill, you can see a spectacular $50,000 gold pour, venture underground on a guided gold mine tour or catch a horse-drawn coach & tour the Township. There are traditional 1850s-style shops, schools, a theatre, crafts, a wheelwright, a candlemaker, a confectioner & steam-driven machinery.
On thier streets & in thier theatre, you will be entertained by costumed goldfields characters who are happy to pose for a souvenir photograph.
By night, Sovereign Hill presents its spectacular, multi-million dollar sound- and-light show, Blood on the Southern Cross, the dramatic story of the 1854 Eureka Uprising.
How to get there

10am to 5pm every day except Christmas Day.
During daylight saving, Sovereign Hill is open until 5:30pm.
Gold Museum
9:30am to 5:20pm.
Allow yourself at least four or five hours to fully explore Sovereign Hill & the Gold Museum.
