Take a walk on down to the town's shopping centres and stroll through the newly restored Waterfront. See the carousel and stop sumptious restaurants on the Cunningham Pier.
For culinary delights, Geelong has an abundance of different foods, from French cuisine (Le Parisian) to Spanish (Bamboleo's Restaurant) to Parkers Steak House and Thai Influence. There's no shortage of restaurants to choose from.
Only a 20 min drive away is the start of Great Ocean Road, which boasts some of the most captivating and amazing views of the Southern Ocean. Along here you will go through many of the beautiful coastal towns that inhabit the shoreline. Be sure to stop by at the 12 Apostles for a spectacular glimpse of the rock formations by the sea.
The wildlife is abundant, and many echidna, wombat and kangaroo can be seen in and around the Geelong coast.
