Originally a chilled out surf town, Margaret River has evolved into the ultimate smorgasbord of good food, fine wine and spectacular scenery. There is a fine supply of over 60 wineries, boutique breweries, and restaurants overlooking sweeping vineyards and surf breaks. Stop by for some local mead in the Blackwood Meadery. Mead is wine made from honey rather than grapes and is the oldest fermented beverage known to man, otherwise known as Honey Wine. Great wine to drink for after main courses!

There are also some local chocolate factories in the area selling discount chocolates.


Situated 272 kilometres south of Perth, or a three hour drive.
