There are several interesting places that you can see around Brasilia.
The Square of the Three Power – contains the three highest seats of authorities in Brazil – the Congress, the Presidential Palace and the Supreme Court. The two towers of the Congress is a good place to watch the sunrise as it rises exactly in between them.
Palace Justice – displays an extraordinary façade and beauty.
Itamaraty Palace – located at Esplanada dos Ministerios and houses the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. You can visit the Palace on weekdays every 2pm-4:30pm and on Saturdays & Sundays at 10am-3:30pm. For more information, call 3411 6148.
Brasilia Cathedral – it contains 90-ton curved concrete pillars & stained glass panels. It is known to be one of the world’s most amazing modern buildings. Plan your visit between Monday & Saturday from 8am-5pm or Tuesday-Friday and Sunday at 8am-6pm.
Television Tower – has the perfect panoramic view of the city.
Juscelino Kubitschek Memorial – a museum dedicated to the late president.
Palacio da Alvorada – the national icon in Brazil and the official President’s residence.
Cultural Complex of the Republic – an oval museum that holds exhibitions every now and then.
Public Works Art – displays the works of the finest Brazilian artists.
Dom Bosco Church – located on Av. W3 sul, Quadra 702. This is a modern church with a very good design. A huge chandelier is displayed in the middle of the church which catches everybody’s attention.
Paranoa Lake – this a famous place to watch Brasilia’s sunsets.
City Park – a wide area for sports and other outdoor activities.
Brasilia National Park – if you want to swim and be engage with nature, this is a place for you.
Poco Azul – a beautiful waterfall.
Chapada Imperial – a place for trekking, rappelling & mountain biking. Perfect for the adventurers, who seek thrills and excitement.
Parque Olhos D’Agua – perfect place for the family to do picnics and other outdoor activities.
Aside from seeing beautiful places in Brasilia, you can also enjoy the fine cuisine they offer. There are various restaurants that sell local food at an affordable price. Shopping is everywhere as well, you can choose from their wide variety of products. Truly a delight to the heart!
