About
The warm & humid weather all year round is perfect for travelers who want to enjoy the sun and escape the cold season in their country. During summer, expect the temperature to rise up to 41 degrees Celsius making you sweat all day. You can take this opportunity to go to the beach and have fun swimming. Mid of the year is expected to be rainy but the good thing is – Phnom Penh do not experience typhoon because of the location geographically. It may be hot in the morning and suddenly heavy rains will pour in the afternoon. You just have to make sure that you have your nifty raincoat with you if you’re out for some walk or else you will go back home wet.
Cambodians are known for being polite and warm especially to visitors coming in the country. Expect them greeting you on their own language with hands clasp near their chest as a gesture of welcoming you and saying thank you.
Khmer is the main language spoken in the whole country. However, because of the French colonization, you may experience speaking in French to some older people in the town. English is also spoken, especially if you are going to strategic and business areas. To avoid problems, you may want to bring a guide in Khmer language with you when you come in Phnom Penh.
You can choose from the variety of tours or destinations the city offer. Cheap shopping is one of the best things to do in Phnom Penh as the products are all tax-free! A good bargain for travelers who want to maximize their money.
