Tours are available daily of the "Peace Tower" as well as the "House of Commons". Come early (10am) and see the "Changing of the Guard" ceremony, stay late in the evening to see a historical tour of the buildings through a display of "Sound and Light".
A visit to Ottawa is not complete without a visit to this historic location.
How to get there
Getting here is easy, whether by air, rail, road or by boat via the Ottawa River or Rideau Canal. And once you get here, you can keep going with local bus, taxi and limousine services.
Once inside the city limits head north towards downtown and venture towards Wellington Street
Tips:
* Parking: There is no parking available on Parliament Hill. Numerous public and municipal parking lots (offsite link) are located nearby.
* Cost: All tours and programs are FREE of charge.
* Tour Tickets: You can get same-day tickets for groups of less than 10 people beginning at 9:00 am daily. The number of tickets for each day is limited. We cannot guarantee a tour to any visitor on any given day.
* Tour Reservations: You are ONLY required to make reservations for groups of 10 people or more. Refer to Group Reservations for more information. Groups of less than 10 people cannot reserve tickets.
* Tour Length: Tour length varies between 20 and 60 minutes depending on parliamentary activity.
