The Bibliotheca Alexandria is a modern library built in commemoration of The Library of Alexandria which was lost in antiquity. It is a major cultural center covering 70,000 sq meters and 11 floors. The complex also features amazing architecture, various museums and art galleries, a planetarium, and more.

Tours are offered to visitors in multiple languages where one can learn about the historical background of the Ancient library and the construction of the New library.


Opening Hours: Saturday to Thursday (including Tuesdays) from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and Friday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm .

The library is located on Egypt's north shore.
