Giza Pyramids
About
The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza Necropolis bordering what is now Cairo, Egypt, and is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World that survives substantially intact. It was built as a tomb for an Egyption King over the span of 20 years, concluding in 2560 BC. The Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years.

How to get there
A taxi from the center of Cairo is probably the easiest way to get to the Pyramids, although mini and micro buses also make frequent trips. An air-conditioned bus also departs regularly from the Midan Tahrir.
