Jardin Des Tuileries

About

The Tuileries Gardens holds neoclassical statues, urns, and fountains. The gardens were once part of the Palace of Tuileries in the 17th century, built for Louis XIV.

There are fountains and chairs, so relax here and enjoy the Paris scenery. There are also two museums here: the Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume, and the Musee de l'Orangerie, which displays Claude Monet's crowning series of water lily paintings.

You can walk from The Arc de Triomphe through Champs-Elysees into the gardens, and then continue onto The Louvre museum.

Take the Metro to Tuileries, or walk from one of the nearby attractions.
