About

What can I say? Who doesn't know Monaco?

1) It's expensive. Public bathrooms cost money (1 euro).
2) Hordes of tourists on the street b/c its so expensive tourists can only wander around and enjoy the "atmosphere" that is tons of other tourists.

I went the day before the Grand Prix. This half the roads in the country were closed or blocked off, making it difficult to get around. Oh, and the organizers of the race don't really care if you get trapped inside the course and then run down by the race cars. But hey it's Monaco. You can't not go there.

How to get there

Take the 1 euro public bus from Nice. Be careful because it gets packed on the way back from Monaco, since most people taking the bus come from Nice. Alternatively there's a train that connects Monaco with Nice.
