Central Mid-level Escalators

The central mid-level escalators are the world's longest outdoor-covered escalators. Not only do they facilitate transportation through Hong Kong's steep terrain, bars and shops line the streets. The escalators were opened in 1993, with 55,000 people using the escalators per day.

The elevators can be a fun way to get into the heart of central Hong Kong, combined with a visit to Lan Kwai Fong.


The escalators run from 10:30am to midnight (uphill). They run downhill from 6am to 10am.
