Po Lin Monastery

About

Po Lin Monastery is a Buddhist monastery, founded by 3 monks in 1906. The temple contains 3 bronze statues symbolizing past, present, and future. Famous wooden bracelets are sold near the monastery.

The Monastery is adjacent to the Tian Tan Buddha, one of the largest buddhas in the world. It is also situated near the Ngong Ping 360 ropeway.


How to get there

Take the MTR to Tung Chung station, and then ride the Ngong Ping 360 ropeway to the Ngong Ping plateau. From there, take a tour through the big buddha, and right next to it will be the Po Lim Monastery.
