Also known as the Big Buddha, the Tian Tan Buddha is one of the largest outdoor buddhas in the world. It was completed in 1993 in symbolizing the relationship between man and nature. The Buddha sits on a lotus altar atop 268 steps that visitors will have to climb to reach it.
The buddha was built from 1990 to 1993. It is surrounded by bodhivisita statues. Give it a coin for good luck.
How to get there

Take the MTR to Tung Chung station. Then take the Ngong Ping ropeway, which is a wonderful attraction in itself, to soar your way to the buddha statue.
