These temples are architecturally exceptional because of their distinct groundwork and design. All are built high off the ground level, made from sandstone and granite. Each have large open areas before the entrance, and carvings on the walls.
If you are visiting Khajuraho in month of February or March then you can enjoy Khajuraho dance festival, where major forms of folk dances like Kathak, Odisi, Kathakali, and Bharatnatyam are being performed.
How to get there

Khajuraho is well connected by domestic flights from Agra and Varanasi.
It can also be reached by trains. The nearest stations are Satna and Hasi.
Buses also frequently depart from Delhi, 600km away.
