Jaipur was built some 272 years back and often called “The Pink City” of India due to the pink walls which encircle the city. History lovers will find many historical monuments of interest. The city is related to kings and queens, but now their palaces are turned into high-class hotels.

Places of Attraction
Nahagarh Fort is situated in Jaipur city near Aravalli hills; Jaipur looks amazing from this place. Many people say that this place is haunted with the spirit of Prince.

Amber Palace is in a small town of Jaipur called Amber, next to a man-made lake, and is one of the most amazing and popular amongst tourists. Visitors can enjoy elephant rides up to the palace.

Jaigarh Fort situated above Amber Palace on Aravali Hills and offers a wonderful view of Aravali range .

Jantar Mantar is a museum with collections of various architectural instruments.

Galtaji, 10 km away from Jaipur, features a huge complex made of pink stone. People on Makar Sankranti take holy baths in Galta Kund.

Tourists can also enjoy shopping in Jaipur’s colorful bazaars, famous for its hand looms and blankets. These blankets are very thin but can keep one hot even in subzero temperatures. Hotels, parks, and roads are all beautifully decorated for tourists every day.

The summers of Jaipur are hot, up to 45C, and cold in the winters dropping to 10C. Visitors are advised to prepare depending on the season of travel.

Jaipur is well connected with domestic airport to which there are frequent flights from Delhi and Mumbai. The nearest international airport is Delhi

Jaipur can be reached by trains as well and there are a numbers of trains available from Delhi every hour.

Roads connectivity is far better now as compared to some five years back. It takes six hours to reach by road. Buses are frequently available from Delhi
