The most amazing edifice is the ropeway in Auli, amazingly crossing the huge mountains.
Auli is some 300 km from Haridwar and 550 km from Delhi. One can start their journey to Auli from Delhi to Haridwar and then to Auli. The holy river Ganga will follow the route along with you from Rishikesh as water flows through the gorge in mountains.
Places of attraction in Auli
Electric ropeway- Asia’s longest ropeway, stretches from Joshimath to Auli. This rope way journey offers you some spectacular views of Nanda Devi, Mana Parbat, Dungagri, Beethartoli, Nikanth Hathi Parbat and Ghori Parbat. Total track distance is about 4.15 km.
Skiing slopes- If you are daring, then skiing is one of the best activities. Auli is world famous for its skiing slopes.
Badrinath- If you are religious then a visit to Badrinath temple is a must for you. Badrinath is situated in between Himalayas and is away from hustle and bustle of cities.
Views of Himalayas- Auli is surrounded with some of the main peaks of Himalayas. You can see an image of a woman sleeping in between these mountains but you have to be imaginative to see this woman.

Best time to Visit Auli
The best period to visit Auli is December to March, where heavy snow and welcoming slopes are waiting for you in this season. Temperatures at night are in the range of 15 to 17 degrees.

Rail: Rishikesh and Haridwar are the nearest railway stations and are well connected with Delhi.
Road: Auli is well connected with road from Delhi to Haridwar to Joshimath. Total distance is around 550 Km. Haridwar to Joshimath is 257 Km and takes around 15 hours by road.
