Tapkeshwar Mandir- is a temple located on the bank of river and nearly 6 Km from Dehradun and well connected by road. Droplets of water originating from rocks fall on shivling that is why this temple is called tapkeshwar
Sahastradhara- is located 11 km away from Dehradun, well connected with road, and is an ideal picnic spot for tourists. There are many waterfalls for tourists to enjoy. Is called sahastradhara because of multiple numbers of waterfalls.
Laxman Sidd- is a temple situated some 12 km from Dehradun. People and tourists visit this temple because this temple is more than thousand year old.
Deer park- On the Mussoorie road and an ideal picnic spots for tourists. It has a mini zoological park with natural and beautiful surroundings.
Chandrabani- situated some 7 km from Dehradun on Delhi-Dehradun road. It is famous for its holy kund. Religious people came here to take a dip in to holy water of this kund.
Lacchiwala- Is 22 km from Dehradun on Haridwar- Dehradun road. One of the most beautiful and scenic picnic spot with arrangements for night stay.

Road- Dehradun is well connected with roads and tourists can opt for AC buses from Delhi that are very frequent ( every fifteen minutes) or alternatively can hire a private taxi to Dehradun. Distance between Delhi and Dehradun is 230 km.
Trains- Yes, trains are even very frequent from Delhi. You can opt for doon Express from Delhi.
