Nainital is a beautiful hill station in kumaon hills in uttaranchal (India) famous for lakes, boat riding, snow views and candles. Nainitaal is located at an altitude of 1938 M from sea levels. Nainital is an amalgamation of two words "naini" means nine and "taal" means lake. During British times, Britishers visit nainitaal to escape from the heat of the plains.

But now, it is a hill station and tourist from all over the world came here to see Himalayan beauty and lakes. There are many interesting places nearby like sattaal, naukuchiyatal, almora, binsar and bhimtal . You can enjoy boat ride on the lake or even you can have a walk on famous mall road for shopping. Tourist can head towards to Himalayan view point, from there you can see the majestic beauty of giant Himalayas. Himalayas is some 300 KM from nainitaal but still you can see each and every peak very clearly from Himalayan view point. Travelers can head towards hidden lake, this is not visible most of the times but if you are lucky you can have some glimpse of the same. You can visit naina devi temple in evening time, a place you can relax your mind and soul.

Nainitaal is easily accessible from Delhi (Capital of India), it is almost 330 KM from Delhi by road, Nearest airport is Delhi. Very frequent public transport facility is available for nainital. You can even hire a "Taxi". Hotels are in plenty but it is always advisable to book room in advance to avoid unnecessary inconvenience.
