If you're already in the city, the main tourist office, located in St. Andrew's Church just off Grafton Street in the city centre, is a good place to start for information. You can book accommodation and tours there, as well as find general information on where to go and what to do.
There are many exciting places that you can visit in Dublin. See the list for more information.
1. National Museum of Ireland – located in Kildare St. You will be able to learn on Dublin’s archeology & history. They are open from Tuesday-Saturday at 10am to 5pm and on Sundays from 2pm-5pm. 2. National Gallery of Ireland – located in Merrion Square West and Clare Street. The museum displays the country’s collection of Irish and European Art. It is free to visit the gallery and five minutes away from DART Pearse Station. Plan your visit between Monday-Saturday from 9:30am to 5:30pm or on a Sunday from 12pm-5:30pm.
3. Irish Museum of Modern Art – located in Military Road, Kilmainham. The museum holds modern and contemporary arts, formal gardens and cafes. Free of entrance ans open between Tuesday-Saturday at 10am-5:30pm. For more information, contact +353 1 6129900.
4. Dublin Castle – This is the former seat of the British rule in Ireland. They organizes tour with guides included starting from €4.50 for adults, €3.50 children €2, alternative Tour of Chapel Royal & Undercroft €3.50. They are iopen from 10am-5:45pm every Monday-Friday. 5. Chester Beatty Library – located inside the Dublin Castle. The library has a wide selection or early books and manuscripts. Entrance is free and open from Monday-Friday at 10am-5pm.
6. Old Library at Trinity College & Books of Kells – located at the College Green. The old library has a massive collection of books that includes the famous manuscript of the Book of Kells. Entrance fee is €9 for adults, +€2 for optional guided tour. Students & seniors €8, children under 12 free. They are open every Monday-Saturday at 9:30am-5pm and on Sunday till 5:30pm. 7. The Bram Stoker Museum – located in Clontarf Road. This will give you an exciting and thrilling tour of what Bram Stoker’s life has been. Don’t ever forget that he’s the infamous author of Dracula. The museum is open every Friday from 4pm-10pm and Saturday-Sunday from 12pm-10pm. Entrance is €7 for adults, €4 for children and €5 for students. For more information, contact +353 (1) 8057824.
8. Christ Church Cathedral – located in Christ Church Palace. The church is known to be the oldest building in Dublin and they’re open daily from 9am-6pm. Entrance is €6 for adults, €4 for students, children with parent is free. For more information, contact +353 (1) 6778099.
9. Dublinia & the Viking World – located in St. Michael’s Hill Christ Church. The place will make you feel like a Viking and how their life evolves. They are open daily from 10am-5pm and tickets are available from €6.25 for adults, €3.75 for children and €5.25 if you’re a student. For more information, call +351 (1) 679 4611.
10. Kilmainham Gaol – located in Inchicore Road. This is the place where prisoners of the 1916 Easter Rising got executed. Access is limited to tours only. Ticket is available at €5.30 for adults and if you come in group, €3.70 for children & students can get for €2.10. If you’re a family visiting the place, you only need to pay €11.50. 11. Phoenix Park – The main residences of Ireland’s President is situated in the park, however they are not free for the public. It is said to be the largest urban park in Europe where it houses a polo field and the Dublin Zoo. For more information, call +353 (1) 6770095.
12. Glasnevin Cemetery – located in Finglas Road. The cemetery is famous for housing the remains of Ireland’s prominent men & women who has helped the country in many ways. There are tours organized that will last for an hour and half. This includes visit to the graves of Daniel O’Connell, Charles Sterwart Parnell, Michael Collins and many more. 13. Dublin Zoo – located in Phoenix Park and known to be the largest zoo in Ireland. Tickets are available at €15/adult, €12.50/students, €12/senior citizen, €10.50/children and a family with six members can purchase it for only €52 and four members will be €43.50. 14. National Botanic Garden – located in Glasnevin. Displays great collection of Ireland’s fauna. They are open daily from 9am-6pm. For more information, call +353 (1) 8040300.
15. Leopardstown Racecourse – a nice place to play gold around the racecourse grounds. Entrance is €12.55 with discounts for students. For more information, contact +353 (1) 289 2535.
16. Dublin Writers Museum – located at 18 Parnell Square. The museum is dedicated to Irish literature and famous Irish writers that includes Shaw, Joyce & Pearse. Entrance is €7.25 for adults; €4.55 for children and family tickets is at €21. For more information, call +353 (1) 872 2077.
Aside from visiting exciting places, you will surely be hungry. Do not worry for Dublin has the best of the best restaurants. Try the following:
1. Elephant & Castle – a basket of Ireland’s famous chicken wings will surely cure the hunger in you.
2. Lemon Crepe Company – delicious crepes for only €4.
3. Purple Sage Restaurant – has extensive Irish menu.
4. Bella Cuba – the only Cuban restaurant in Ireland.
5. The Bistro – serves excellent continental menu.
6. Cornucopia – a vegetarian’s haven.
Dublin offers almost everything possible for every single tourist visiting; from shopping, dining, sightseeing, drinking and fabulous hotels. Splurging will surely happen so get ready with your pocket and budget.

How to get there
1. Aircoach – the blue bus that connects the airport to the city and other major hotels. Ticket is €8 for single or €14 for return.
2. Dublin Bus Route 747 & 748 – will take to the city centre. Ticket is €6/single or €10/return.
3. Dublin Bus – basically they will take you anywhere in Ireland.
Getting around is very easy in Dublin. Trams, trains and taxis are all available. You can even explore the city by foot which is good when you are taking photos of every place.
