About

The Valpolicella is a wonderfully hilly area bordered to the West by the Adige river and to the North by the Lessinia National Park. It is only a short distance from the artistic city of Verona and from Lake Garda.

The region offers unsurpassed natural beauty including the waterfalls of Molina and the natural bridge of Ponte di Veia along with man-made splendours such as the Roman spa of Giunone at Caldiero and many ancient churches and villas. The Valpolicella is rich in all of its resources and is an example of history, heritage and careful husbandry combining to create a unique area worth preserving and certainly worth experiencing.

The organisation of ‘The Strada del Vino’ or ‘The Wine Trail’ of the Valpolicella was created with the objective of helping to preserve the uniqueness of the Valpolicella whilst at the same time communicating successfully its many facets to all of its visitors.

In this area are produced the famous wines: Valpolicella, Valpolicella superiore ripasso and Amarone della valpolicella
