About

Venice is described as the, “undoubtedly the most beautiful city built by man”. Located in northern Italy, the city is built over a lagoon of 118 islands connected by 400 bridges. It is a blend of east and west, offering beautiful architecture. Throughout the ages, it has been known as the "City of Water", "City of Light", "Serenissima", and "Queen of the Adriatic".

Santa Maria Della Salute, a famous cathedral, is located in a picturesquely between Grand Canal and Bacino di San Marco. The decorative and distinctive church is one of the most photographed churches in Italy.

Also, The Grand Canal snakes through the city. Visitors can catch rides atop water buses and gondolas.

Or, simply strolling about the city can be one of the most amazing experiences. Cars are banned in Venice, and the city is so small that one can walk about it in a few hours. Don’t forget to shop as you will come across something outstanding and creative.

The best time to visit is during the winters, as summers are too humid and hot. Moreover in summers the canal stinks badly and becomes an adobe of flies.

How to get there

Venice can be reached by trains or bus.
