About
If you ask any local Tokyoite, they will tell you that Disneyland is better. But, from a foreigner's perspective (and especially one who has been to Disneyland before), you would actually prefer Disneysea for its beautiful park layout and amazing shows. Disneysea is unlike any theme-park for this reason, and is truly a unique experience. DisneySea is also thought to be the more romantic of the two parks, although ultimately you will be very busy having fun and moving from attraction to attraction.
The BraviSEAmo show here is incredible. It is on every night, and is about a fire dragon with a water sprite. The whole show is on water with fire all over the place.
Disneysea is situated right next to Disneyland, accessible via a cheap monorail.
A day might begin with Chip n' Dale on boats with ultra-powerful firehoses to spray water into the crowds. Don't worry -- you won't get wet unless you want to.
Then, you can go get a Fastpass ticket for the ride, Journey to the Center of the Earth, which is the park's #1 ride inside a volcano (FastPass specifies a pre-reserved time that you can visit an attraction at. After obtaining a FastPass, you must wait about 90 minutes before you can get another one). The ride will take you underground by monsters and beautiful scenes, later rocketing you to the top of the volcano for an aerial view of the whole park.
Take a stroll through the Arabian Coast for views of Aladdin's castle. Try Sinbad's Adventure, where you ride a boat and see beautiful scenes of pirate boats, monster fish, and camels.
If you go to America Waterfront, you can catch a top-quality jazz show where Mickey plays some wicked drums, plus tap dances.
Go to the Mediterranean Harbor to catch one of the bigger water shows "Legend of Mythica." Don't miss this one -- beautiful boats decorated as griffins, dragons, unicorns, and more parade in the sea. There will be fireworks and jetski performers with kites. It's great.
Head on over to the Lost River Delta to catch a circus-style acrobatic performance of "Mystic Rhythyms." Here is also the Indiana Jones Adventure ride, which you will definitely want to get in with FastPass as well. It's a shaky ride.
In Mysterious Island, you can find the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride, which is very creative and spectacular. You are placed in a vehicle in the dark with water bubbles in the window, giving you the illusion that you are underwater. A controllable flashlight will light up underwater creatures and scenes.
Port Discovery has some rides for the family, and Mermaid Lagoon has rides for children. Mermaid Lagoon is entirely indoors and can be easy to miss -- if you have time, take a look inside because the interior is very well-done to create an underwater theme.
If you are in Tokyo, stay an extra day for Disneysea. You won't regret it.
How to get there

Legend of Mythica show
From Tokyo station, take the JR Keiyo Line or JR Musashino Line (about 15 minutes). Get off at JR Maihama Station (South Exit). You'll find the Disney Monorail here, which for about 300 yen will get you to Disneysea.
