About

Nanba, also known commonly as Minami or "South", is located in southern Osaka. It is one of the city's two major centers. The other is Kita, located in the north. Nanba is Osaka's equivalent of Shibuya in Tokyo. It is known for entertainment and shopping, offering many arcades, restaurants, bars, and night clubs.

Some popular sights include the giant crab on Dotonbori, the Shinsaibashi shopping arcade, the electric Den Den Town, and Nanba Parks which is a shopping center built to resemble the grand canyon.
