The Osaka Kaiyukan Aquarium is one of the largest in the world. It exhibits life forms in 15 tanks, each representing a region of the Pacific Rim in 15 tanks. The central tank, representing the Pacific ocean, is 9 meters deep and home to the aquarium's most popular attraction, a whale shark.
In addition, the aquarium also exhibits other living things including fishes, plants, reptiles, birds, mammals, and invertebrates.
How to get there
The aquarium is open from 10:00 to 20:00 daily and admission is 2000 yen. It is accessible from Osakako station, a 20 min trip from Osaka.
