Roppongi is a trendy district famous for its night life and shopping districts. There are many foreigner-friendly bars and clubs in the area. In addition, there are two large shopping complexes, Roppongi Hills and Tokyo Midtown.

Night life: Roppongi has been a popular spot among foreigners for decades. It features numerous bars, nightclubs, strip clubs, restaurants, hostess clubs, cabarets, and other forms of entertainment.

Roppongi Hills: Roppongi Hills is a newly developed area in 2003 featuring over 200 shops. Visitors can tour TV Asahi's headquarters here in addition to the Mori garden.

Tokyo Midtown: In 2007, Tokyo Midtown was open to the public. Like Roppongi Hills, it features many trendy shops and restaurants, including the luxurious Ritz Carlton hotel.


How to get there

Roppongi is located in southern Tokyo. From Shinjuku, it is a 15 min ride on the Toei Oedo Subway Line.

I had the best Salade Nicoise at a French place in the Roppongi. It beat the salade nicoise in freakin' Nice, France. I'm so serious about this.
