Berjaya Times Square is a large multi-story shopping mall located in KL's Golden Triangle. It was meant to compete with the decades-long dominance of Sungei Wang Plaza as the fore-most shopping spot in the city. However, the '97 Asian financial crisis put a monkey wrench in the works and delayed its completion by several years.

The square now stands as the largest mall in the city centre, boasting an indoor theme-park with a large roller-coaster. There's also a multiplex cinema with IMAX, and a bowling alley. It features multiple floors of shopping in a comfortable environment, although it never managed to duplicate Sungei Wang's special atmosphere.

There's a fair number of toy-stores here and young people's fashion as well as luxury goods like jewelery and watches. A large Borders bookstore is on site as well.


The KL Monorail stops right outside the mall.

It is also walking distance from many hotels in the area.
