About
What started out as one floor of tech goods has expanded to almost half the building, ie most of 4 floors.
There are many handphone shops, hp accessories, service centres, and some shops will also take trade-ins for handphones.
There are several floors dedicated to selling computers and notebooks. PC parts like CPUs, RAM, graphic cards, harddrives, motherboards etc are all selling at very thin margins. Since tech goods are not dutiable in Malaysia, it means that these prices are some of the lowest worldwide.
There's some rumours that some shops are money laundering operations of underground organisations, thus explaining how these shops can stay in business with such margins. But the sales people and managers of the shops are always professional, polite and helpful. Business is business. We don't care where they get their business capital from. We're just happy with the low prices.
Recently, DSLRs are gaining popularity and many camera shops have sprouted here too. But if you are keen in buying photographic equipment from people who actually knows photography, the older more established photo shops in Sungei Wang Plaza next door is the better bet.
