About

Kuantan is the 6th largest state in Malaysia and the home for 350,000 Malaysians. This is a place is a good retreat for those who are always busy with work.

Places to visit:

1. Teluk Cempedak - famous beach for water sports. Located 5 kilometres east from the town centre in Kuantan and situated in close proximity to the Royal Pahang Golf Club.

2. Batu Hitam - is a good place to spend your weekend. This is 10km away from Kuantan and prominent for the black stones surrounding the beach.

3. Cherating - famed as the location of Asia’s first Club Mediterranean ("Club Med") and one of the best lagoons in the area, where coupled with the golden soft sandy beach,the calm waters make you want to take a dip in the sea, and then just laze and laze on and on under the sun.

4. Bandar Indera Mahkota - several activities can be done here such as playing golf, visiting Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Agricultural Park and the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Mosque.

5. Taman Esplanade - a popular playground for children, where playing facilities, like swings, see-saw, slides, and other climbing structures are available for children to release their boundless energies. This place is vibrant especially in the evenings and week-ends, when families and friends gather and enjoy the settings, some picnicking on the grass along the esplanade.

6. East Coast Mall - if you want to shop signature items this place would fit your taste as they have a wide variety of stuffs ready to cater your needs.

Before I forgot, do not miss to eat the famous fish crackers which is called keropok in Malay, as it has an authentic taste that will surely like by your tastebuds (wink).


How to get there

By Air - there's flight everyday, all you have to do is book a ticket and come right away here in Kuantan.

By Land - you can the east coast expressway of get a ticket to the nearest bus station in your town.
