About

If a bit of adventure is on your bucket list, Queenstown is a must-see as the “Adventure Capital of the World.” There’s just so much to do and see here from bungee jumping, skydiving, jet boating, helicopter riding, whitewater rafting, canyon swinging, and more.

It’s also a cosmopolitan haven with several retail outlets, souvenir stores, art galleries, bars and restaurants. You’ll find a wide selection of wine and gourmet cuisine. Accommodation is available to suit every type of traveler, making it a great homebase to explore the wonders of World Heritage Fiordland National Park and the rest of the Southern Lakes region.

Queenstown is the perfect getaway all-year round with its breathtaking alpine scenery. Its natural beauty is transformed with the seasons - majestic lakes gleam in the summer sun while snow-capped mountains tower above the town in winter.

How to get there

Getting here is easy as Queenstown International Airport is well served by major airlines, including Air New Zealand and Qantas Airways. There are daily direct domestic connections from New Zealand's major cities: Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.

The town center is about ten minutes away from Queenstown Airport. Access by road is a wonderfully scenic option – take a leisurely drive or catch a scenic coach tour.
