Tropical Paradise

Corn Islands are two islands located 50 miles northeast of the city of Bluefields, in Nicaragua. The main characteristics of the tropical paradise are the lush fruits and beautiful blue waters. Little Corn Island is particularly attractive as it is very remote and distant from urban areas.

The main activities include fishing, swimming, scuba diving, boat riding, snorkeling, trekking, eating fresh sea food and relaxing with the most beautiful scenery, which you won’t see elsewhere. In the sea you’ll find a hidden world of coral reefs and amazingly colorful fish.

The culture here is very different from other parts of Nicaragua. Nicaragua was conquered by the Spanish and English, and on this island, the English side is prevalent. Locals speak mostly English, Spanish and other native languages.

Be sure to sample the sumptuous cuisine, especially the seafood and lobsters.

Accommodation is inexpensive. A comfortable bed and breakfast goes for about $15.


From Managua, fly to Big Corn Airline. Prices vary between $150 - $200 American dollars depending on when are you traveling. Upon arrival, visitors can take a taxi for about a dollar.

To get to Little Corn Island, the less traveled of the two islands, visitors can take a water taxi.
