A 1st class municipality in the province of Batangas, Philippines. It occupies the easternmost portion of the province, 43 kilometers east of Batangas City, also the same distance southwest of Lucena City, Quezon, and 115 kilometers away from Manila.

San Juan, Batangas is known to be the nearest white sand beach in Manila which you can travel by land. If one would like to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, this is definitely a good place to go. There are a lot of classy but not so expensive resorts where you can stay if you plan to visit this place. Some resorts offers day trips at a very reasonable price of about $30, wherein you can use the complete amenities of the resort including a buffet meal of lunch or dinner and snacks.

What to do: Swimming, kayaking, boating, beach volleyball, snorkeling, resort hopping, get a massage and a lot more.

You might also want to take a hike at the scenic slopes of Mt. Daguldol.

How to get there

1. From Manila, take the South Luzon Tollway. Exit towards Batangas/Sto. Tomas. 2. From Sto. Tomas, turn right to Star Tollway (CALABARZON).
3. From Star Tollway, turn right towards Lipa, traverse C.M. Recto.
4. Turn right at P.Torres (Mercury Drug) towards Padre Garcia.
5. Turn left going to Padre Garcia Public Market then turn right going to Batangas Racing Circuit. Go straight ahead to San Juan.
6. From San Juan, turn right at the Municipal Hall.
7. You have reached the main road of Laiya. Drive approximately 20-25 kms along this road to find the resorts.
