About
Tuck behind the mountains of Zambales, this cove wasn’t present until the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo on 1990.
There are two ways to get there, via a 30-minute boat ride from Barangay Pundaquit, or via a scenic though accident-prone 5-hour hike through the mountains. No resorts yet on this natural beauty, only few huts and deep wells. Behind the beach is a marsh, where you can find natural springs feeding to the sea which is a home to a number of bird species.
How to get there

Anawangin Swamp
Get off at the town proper of San Antonio and charter a tricycle to take you to the jump-off point in Pundaquit. That's about PHP50 (1.03) per person or PHP200 ($4.13) per tricycle. Boat rentals to Anawangin and the nearby islands range from PHP800 ($16.55) to PHP1200 ($24) depending on your itinerary.
