About

Subic Bay was once the largest U.S. naval base overseas. Since the end of the Military Bases Agreement in 1991, it has been transformed into an economic zone and recreational complex.

It is home to no less than three theme parks: Ocean Adventure Park where you can watch and swim with dolphins, sea lions, and whales; Zoobic Safari featuring close encounters with tigers; and the Subic Extreme Adventure Park that offers Tension Traversing, High Ladder Climbing, Canopy Sliding, and High Pole Jumping. You could also join the Jungle Environment Survival Training (JEST) Camp as another exciting eco-tourism experience in the area.

The Subic Bay Freeport Zone also has complete sports facilities from a championship 18-hole golf course to a private yacht club. Other popular pastimes here include duty-free shopping and casino gambling. You’ll also find several white sand or rocky beaches along its rugged coastline.

How to get there

Subic Bay is located in Olongapo, 110 kilometers north of Manila. It takes about 2 ½ to 3 hours drive along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).
