About

Amanpulo (“peaceful island”) makes the perfect tropical island getaway. It has earned itself a spot on the Conde Nast Traveller’s Gold List 2009 and ranked No. 3 in the 2008 Gallivanter’s Awards for Excellence - Best Resorts in South East Asia.

Located in the secluded Pamalican Island, it is a private retreat where you can enjoy a variety of sea and sand pleasures in exclusive comfort and traditionally styled accommodation.

The 40 Beach, Hillside and Treetop Casitas are fashioned after authentic native dwellings (“bahay kubo”), each supplied with a buggy for island exploration. Other facilities include tennis courts, gym, and a 30-meter serene pool.

It is the perfect place for pampering with a wide range of massages, body treatments, and aromatherapy and beauty treatments in the privacy of your own casita, in the air-conditioned Spa Casitas, or at the open-air Garden Sala.

For the more active set, the Amanpulo Beach Club offers a wide range of water sports such as scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, island hopping, fishing, and sailing. A walk around the island’s pristine white-sand beach takes about 1 1/2 hours, and if you’re lucky you can even catch a glimpse of hatching turtles.

This romantically remote island resort has also been a favorite setting for proposals, weddings, and honeymoons...the stuff dreams are made of!

How to get there

Amanpulo can be found on the island of Pamalican that is part of the Cuyo island group in the Sulu Sea. Located at the northern part of Palawan, it lies about 360 kilometers southwest of Manila.

The island can be accessed by scheduled charter flights from Manila. Guests are met at the international airport and brought by complimentary transfer to Amanpulo Lounge at a nearby hangar. Then they fly directly to Pamalican Island in a 19-seat, twin-engine turboprop, landing at the resort’s private airstrip after an hour. The cost of a roundtrip air transfer, Manila-Amanpulo-Manila, is US$400 per adult.
