About

It is approximately 16 km. away from Manila; and one of the twelve cities comprising the Metro Manila area.

Over the centuries, the city has been known to its thriving production of shoes for import and export quality. So it is not a surprise that the World’s Largest Leather Shoes according to the Guinness World Records can be found here in Marikina City. One can also find the Shoe Museum where the 3,000 pairs of shoes of former First Lady Imelda Marcos can be found.

Places of interests: World of Butterflies; Kapitan Moy; Our Lady of the Abandoned Church; Marikina River Park; Marikina Sports Park; Armscorp Shooting Range;

What to do: Families and friends can have picnic at the park; they can also rent bicycles and fly kites in the open field of the Marikina River Park. When they get tired, they can go to a nearby mall, the Riverbanks Mall to cool off and eat.
