About

Seoul's an incredibly big city. It can take what feels like an hour to get from one end to the other on the metro. It looks a lot like Los Angeles, all sprawled out and everyone in a car, but at the same time it's got this metro system that some people use. Anyhow, the point is, with its size, it holds many palaces and Gyeongbokgung is just one.

Gyeongbokgung houses the National Folk Art Museum. Oh, let me backtrack. Korea isn't as English-friendly as the other Asian nations (Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan). It's easy to not meet another foreigner. So you need to be well-versed in Korean history prior to visiting. All I can tell you is that the architecture is amazing, and the fact that the palace sits right in the center of a major metropolis is kind of cool. Also I went in winter so the lake was all frozen.
