Cat Island is located in central Bahamas. The island is named after Arthur Catt, a pirate who is believed to discover the place. It is the 6th largest island in Bahamas and contains the best beaches to explore.

There are several good places to explore in Cat Island. Refer to the below information:

Mount Alvernia – the highest point in the country with 206ft above sea level.

Hermitage Monastery – oldest building in the island built by a Roman Catholic in 1901.

Arawak Cave – located at the Columbus Point

Ambrister Plantation – famous for cotton plantation.

In Cat Island, you will be able to enjoy water sports. For those who love to dive, visit Cat Island Dive Centre to enjoy exploring the marine life. They also have a variety of water recreation packages that includes water sports equipment for rent.
