Moonstone Beach
About
Moonstone beach is named after the millions of tiny moonstones polished by waves which glisten under the moonlight. It's a photographer's paradise, although not really a place to go sunbathing. The beach lies right by Hwy 1, offering views of the cars, the ocean, the road stretching over the fields, and of course the rocky jagged coast.
The beach is exceptionally clean and has excellent hiking trails. Take caution of the weather as it can get cold in the summer when the fog rolls in.
How to get there
The beach is located off highway 1 between Cambria and San Simeon.
