The Mercedes Benz Grave, New Jersey

About

One of the most bizarre grave sites ever created is the tomb of Ray Tse, Jr, an automobile enthusiast who dreamt of nothing more then getting his drivers license and owning a Mercedes Benz. After his death in 1981 at the age of 15, his brother commissioned a massive 36 ton memorial made of granite resembling an actual-sized Mercedes Benz.

The reported price tag for this undertaking was approximately at $250,000. The plot of land which houses the memorial is in the northern section of the cemetery graced by shade trees and well-cared plants.

Sculptured to the front and back license plate location can be found the name “RAY TSE." The estimated time frame for the final construction of this memorial was about 1 1/2 years.
