Madison is known by crazy names like Mad Town or Mad City It is located in the heart of Dane country in south central Wisconsin. There is something for everyone, including zoos for kids to nature lovers for old people. The area also features vibrant nightlife with pubs and discotheques.

Climate
The city of four lakes has a temperate climate. The best time to visit is June to September as the temperature is between 21C to 25C. In addition, one can visit it during festival season which generally take place in summer time.

Attractions
Madison has a tinge of excitement to its attractive places. Some of the must visit spots are the historic Cave of Mounds, a leisurely walk through the Henry Vilas Zoo or the natural beauty of Olbrich Botanical Gardens.

In addition, there is Monona Terrace on the shores of Monona Lake which feature beautiful views of nature.

Monroe Street is a favorite among shopaholics. There is an array of boutiques to galleries where you can buy unique things. There's also an extensive list of museums and theatres.

Nightlife
Groove your night and dance on the latest and peppy tracks at Cardinal Bar. It’s one of the hotspot to tap your feet with a Victorian ambience. You can find all the good brands even the local brews. Cover charges vary according to the day of the week. The other one to hit is State Bar and Grill which has drinks, pool tables, jazz music making it always bustle. Go anyplace in Madison it’s always packed with crowd. So suit yourself and enjoy!


By air, there are frequent flights to Dane Country Regional Airport, 15min from the city. Nearby hubs which include Chicago, Denver, Detroit and Minneapolis.

By car from Chicago, its a two hours fifteen minutes drive.

There are also Mega buses available that offers twice daily service to Madison from Minneapolis and Chicago.
