About

The Wild Wadi Water Park is situated in Jumeirah, an area in Dubai, United Arab Emirates next to the Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The water park is operated by Jumeirah International, a Dubai-based hotelier.

Wild Wadi is an outdoor water park with a heated/cooled wave pool, multiple water slides and two artificial surfing machines. In addition, the park has the largest water slide outside of North America. Another feature of the park is an 18 m (59 ft) waterfall that goes off every ten minutes. The water park also has two gift shops, three restaurants and two snack stands.

Themed around the tale of Juha, a popular character from Arabian folklore, the waterpark boasts 30 rides and attractions situated within the only themed amusement park in the UAE. Situated between Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai, it's just a 20-minute drive from the city centre. Get there and go wild!

It was featured in The Amazing Race 5 and The Amazing Race Asia 1, in which teams had to slide down a 21 m (69 ft) drop.

RIDES
Master Blaster slides are best described as "uphill water roller coasters". Riders can sit in either a single or double ring, and are propelled uphill by high-powered water jets.

The Master Blaster rides include:

* White Water Wadi
* Jebel Lookout
* Wadi Leap
* Hos'N Hurler
* Falaj Fury
* Wadi Twister
* Wadi Basher
* Flood River Flyer

Ring Rides are the traditional downhill slides. Riders can choose to sit in either a single or double ring.

The Ring Rides include:

* Tumble Falls
* Falcon Fury
* Rushing Rapids
* Thunder Rapids
* Tunnel of Doom

Family ride is a two part ride. The first half of the ride, Summit Surge, blasts riders uphill into a pool area. The second half is known as the Rushdown Ravine which takes riders on a 170 m (560 ft) downhill slide.

Jumeirah Sceirah is the tallest and fastest free-fall water slide outside of North America. Rising to 33 m (110 ft) with riders reaching speeds up to 80 km/h (50 mph).

FlowRider rides, Wipeout and Riptide, are surfing simulators that shoot out more than seven tons of water per second in a thin sheet across moulded foam structures. These rides produce a realistic wave effect which allows riders to body-board, knee-board or surf.

Breakers Bay
is the largest wave pool in the Middle East. It produces parallel and crossing 1.5 m (4.9 ft) waves in five different configurations.

Juha's Journey is a 360 m (1,200 ft) long river which allows guest to relax and slowly float around the park.

Juha’s Dhow and Lagoon
is Wild Wadi's play area for children and has over 100 water games/rides.

How to get there

It's very easy to get to Wild Wadi. All the taxi drivers know it - and most hotels can call you a club car if you want to go that way. It's basically right at the entrance to the road bridge over to the Burj Al Arab, and is also near the Madinat so you could spend the day at Wild Wadi and move to the Madinat for shopping and dinner in the evening!
