Covent Garden

An Italian style plaza, Covent Garden is the heart and life of London. There are no gardens here, despite the name. But the location and atmosphere of this cobblestone-floor outdoor market is wonderfully pleasant.

You will find street performers, restaurants, shops, and great waffles here. It is also home to the Royal Opera House theatre. The street performers truly come alive in Covent Garden on weekends, where you will find them entertaining the crowds. There is music, food, and an arts and crafts market.

How to get there

Take the tube to Covent Garden, or combine it with a visit to Leicester Square or Piccadilly Circus.
