Regent's Canal
About
Regent's Canal is a canal just north of Central London. It eventually empties into the Thames. It was built and proposed in the early 19th century for cargo purposes but has gone through a change in use during the last 30 years. Today, pedestrians and bicyclists use the path running along the canal as much as they can. Cute, narrowboats are nestled along the canal; some with their owners resting inside. During nice weather it is one of the most calming, beautiful examples of modern London.
