The Tate is London's largest modern art gallery, and is free to the public. The interior is huge, as the building used to be a power station that was later reopened as an art gallery in 2000.

The Tate Modern is right across the Millennium Bridge, one of London's newest and most artistic bridges. Under the bridge is the Thames River, and directly across is the elaborate and grand St. Paul's Cathedral. You might want to consider visiting all these sites on the same trip.


The Tate is open 10am to 6pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays up to 10pm.
Entry is free, except for major exhibitions.

Take the Tube to St. Paul's. Visit St. Paul's Cathedral, then walk across the Millineum Bridge to the Tate Modern.
