Tower Of London, Greater London

About

The Tower of London is a Unesco World Heritage site and holds the crowned jewels, including previous crowns of Kings and their golden maces. You will feel in the presence of royalty on your visit here.

The architecture of the building is interesting as well; it is a true medieval castle complete with prison and execution grounds. It is one of the most famous icons and castles in the world.

The White Tower stands at the center of the castle and holds the crowned jewels inside. Be sure to go inside for a look. The castle is quite large, and you can easily miss this building. You can also walk around the castle walls, visiting the small rooms and corridors.

Ravens circle the Tower and are thought to protect the city. If the ravens should leave, London would fall or so foretold.

How to get there

The castle is open 10:00 to 17:00 on most days.
It costs £17.00 per adult. -- yes a little pricey, but well worth it.

Take the Underground subway to Tower Hill and it is a 5 minute walk.
