About

Hardly one of the park giants in West London, Turnham Green is a gem for the locals; conveniently located in a lively area yet serene enough to escape the hustle and bustle of the neighbouring high street. Turnham Green is like an enclosed sample of countryside space sat in the middle of a busy, metropolitan area. At the heart of the park stands a rustic-looking church, complete with a tall spire pointing heavenwards. It's surrounded by large areas of green, green grass, perfect for picnics or a light game of frisbee. Or any sort of activities, you can often see people there practising juggling or plate-spinning! Covent Garden, we're stealing your performers!

Right by Turnham Green is Chiswick High Road, equipped with the typical shops one might expect to find on a decent, West London main road; it will satisfy any woman's shopping needs - especially Lara, a designer boutique, with the most stunning, gorgeously gorgeous dresses that are likely to break the bank, unless you happen to come by it during sale season... Well then, don't expect to leave the shop soon after you've got there!

Feeling a bit hungry? For restaurants there's a huge variety of different cuisines to pick from: La Tasca - scrumptious Spanish tapas, Carluccio's and Zizzi - superior Italian delights, Brasserie Chez Gerard and Café Rouge - a touch of French class and cuisine, Thai Bistro - delicious Chinese dishes.. no, Thai obviously! And for top notch American there's Ground-Classic Burger Store and Gourmet Burger Kitchen - self explanatory really...

And if you're looking for a place to get together for a drink there are plenty of bars such as Revolution, All Bar One and Balans. Or for a coffee Friends-style, there is definitely no shortage of coffee shops in the area! From the big-names: Starbucks (there's 3 nearby!) or Caffe Nero (2 on the high street) to the more fanciful names such as the Giraffe Café or Patisserie Valerie, amongst many others. And if you're in the area, the local favourite on a hot, summer's day is Foubert's, just off the main road near Turnham Green tube station. Homemade icecream. Utterly divine. Enough said.
