Mui Ne is a resort town located in Binh Thuan Province in southeast Vietnam. Mui Ne has been transformed to one of the country's top beach destinations since 1995. The tropical beach and strong sea breezes make the place popular for kitesurfing and windsurfing. The best time to enjoy the beach is from December to May, where the temperature is a warm 27C.

Mui Ne is also known for its sand dunes. Locals rent plastic slides that can be used to slide from the high peaks of the dunes. It costs about 2000 dongto rent.

The local fish port also sets a picturesque scene especially late in the mornings where all the circular boats gather near the shore. Hundreds of them crowd the water.

There's no shortage of good restaurants and fresh seafood such as lobsters, mussels and clams. The fresh juice from the lobster when mixed with vodka makes an exemplary sweet drink.

At night there are also bars and clubs that you can unwind near the beach. Hotels and guesthouses are inexpensive, varying from $10-$45/night.


From Ho Chi Minh, buses are available in the mornings and evenings. Tickets are $5/pax.
