Nha Trang

Nha Trang is the beach capital of Vietnam, famous for its white sand beaches and having the longest shoreline in Asia. It is situated on the central coast about 450 km north of Ho Chi Minh City and 1,200 km south of Hanoi.

Beach life is the main attraction in Nha Trang. Locals crowd the beaches early in the mornings and late in the afternoons. Sports are also popular on the shores, especially football and volleyball.

Aside from sunbathing, Nha Trang offers wide selection of tours:

Island Tour – For $8 you will be picked up from your hotel to go to Nha Trang’s pier and start the tour. You will visit 4 islands. On the first island, the activity is set for snorkeling, where you’ll be able to see how well they reserve and protect their coral reefs. Off you to the 2nd island where you will have a lunch buffet together with the rest of the tourists. Part of the 2nd island activity is the ‘floating bar’. A local boat staff will ride his ring floater together with his bottles of wines and fruits to attract the tourists to swim on the water and join the fun. On the 3rd island, water sports are the highlight of the itinerary. You can ride Jet Ski or try parasailing for a faint heart. The last island will focus on the huge aquarium for you to see the kind of fishes they have in there.

Tam Bun Mud Bath Tour - Up in the Hill there’s a secluded hot spring where you can enjoy mud bath with your love ones.

Vin Pearl Resort – A top class beach resort, situated in an island. It may be expensive but worth the stay.

To enjoy Nha Trang and the beach, plan a trip in January and August. It's the perfect season without the rain.


Nha Trag is accessible either by a 45min plane ride, or 9-hour bus ride from Ho Chi Minh. Bus tickets are available at Sinh Cafe, Sapaco, and other agencies in Ho Chi Minh.
