Visiting Dalat will not be complete if do not get a chance to see Dalat Flower Gardens. The town’s temperature is perfect for growing flowers.
In Dalat, tourists enjoy seeing Langbian Highland, known to be the highest peak at 2,165m. It is popular among climbers and trekkers. From Lom Bien Klo Peak, witness lush green mountains that reflect the silver rays of the sun. Many tours are organized in the area which includes parachuting and climbing. Also nature lovers will enjoy seeing the beautiful Dalat Flower Gardens.
Other attractions include:
Dalat Cathedral – Built between 1931 and 1942, this cathedral was used as a holiday spot by the French and other Europeans who lived in Dalat.
Lam Dong Museum – Located on the top of a hill about 1km from the Central Market, the museum exhibits historical and traditional artifacts which also includes archeological and ethnological relics.
Linh Son Pagoda – Known as the office of Buddism of Lam Dong Province, the pagoda is managed by monks. The middle altar which is made of 1,250kg bronze statue of Sakyamuni Buddha is a must see.
Prenn Falls – This famous waterfall is located on a small valley covered with flowers and pine trees. The falls brings a slight change in temperature near the basin, brought about by the mist of the water falling from a height of 10m.
Valley of Love – This attractive valley has become famous among travelers and lovers who want to spend quality and precious time together.
How to get there
Vietnam Airways has daily flights. By bus, it is a 5 hour ride from Ho Chi Minh City. Buses depart at 9am in the morning.
